UAEM students eating habits
Eating habits, also known as diet, is the set of food substances that are ingested forming nutritional habits or behaviors of human beings and is part of their lifestyle.
Not eating breakfast, consuming a lot of soft drinks, abusing light foods, eating too fast or being guided by false eating myths, are some of the bad eating habits that we often repeat daily. Acquiring bad eating habits is easier than we imagine, even many times we are not aware that our eating habits are incorrect. In Mexico, bad eating habits are very common in our country, since there is no food education, few people have a correct diet.
Some of the bad eatings habits are:
- Not having breakfast
- Not drinking enough water
- Eating too fast
- Constantly eating fast food
Here are some tips of how to avoid bad eating habits to end obesity.
- Limit consumption of fried foods. Instead we will try to cook with other less harmful techniques such as the oven, steam or the iron.
- Avoid consuming unhealthy snacks, we can substitute potatoes, candy, bread, for a portion of fruit, nuts or a small portion of salad.
- Exercise with a minimum duration of 30 minutes, this will keep our digestive system active, managing to avoid such high levels of colesterol.
